Invest in Kids Expert: Liane Comeau

Liane Comeau, B.Psych
Manager of Programs and Research

Liane Comeau is the Manager of Research and Programs at Invest in Kids. She is responsible for serving as a liaison for the Growing Together sites across the country, the Parent Help Line program, writing the Get Set For Life column in Coup de pouce magazine, and assessing books, videos, websites and other educational materials to compile Invest in Kids' We Recommend listings.

Ms. Comeau has a Bachelor of Psychology from the Université de Moncton in New Brunswick and is in the final process of obtaining a Ph.D. in experimental psychology at McGill University in Montréal, Québec. She has received numerous scholarships from 1991-1999 while studying at Université de Moncton, McGill University, Faculté St-Jean at University of Alberta and Université Libre de Bruxelles in Brussels, Belgium. In 1999, she received a research grant from McGill University and was awarded the Guy Bégin Prize for the best scientific publication by a student from the Société Québécoise de Recherche en Psychologie (Quebec Society for Research in Psychology).

Ms. Comeau is a published author of several articles on bilingualism and research that have contributed to the understanding of bilingualism in Canadian children. She has been a member of the International Association for the Study of Child Language since 1999, and the Society for Research in Child Development since 2001.
