Comfort, Play & Teach™ CampaignLearning isn't limited to formal education. It occurs through the most simple, fun and silly things we do with our children every day. This is the underlying message of our national Comfort, Play & Teach™ campaign, developed pro bono by Grey Worldwide with the generosity of media partners Viacom Outdoor Canada and Pattison Outdoor, Division of Jim Pattison Industries. The campaign was launched in September 2003 and still brings nods of recognition and smiles to faces in communities across: Toronto, Kitchener, London, Windsor, Barrie, Ottawa, Brampton, Hamilton, Oakville, Winnipeg, Regina, Saskatoon, Calgary, Edmonton, Victoria and Vancouver. Communities, agencies, organizations and other interested parties are invited to co-brand this campaign for use in their own initiatives to raise awareness of the importance of the early years. Years Before 5 CampaignOriginally launched in 1999, this public awareness campaign continues to receive tremendous praise. It succeeded in raising awareness about the importance of the early years and the role each of us plays in ensuring the future well-being of our youngest children. On television, in transit shelters, in magazines, subways and buses across Ontario, this award-winning campaign carried the simple but compelling message, "the years before five last the rest of their lives." Early Years CampaignIn March 2002, Invest in Kids partnered with the Early Years Project Toronto and the Toronto Public Health Healthy Babies, Healthy Children program to create the English-language Early Years public awareness campaign. Now, with the addition of Tamil and Chinese-language materials, the message of Comfort, Play & Teach™ and the lasting impact of the early years will reach even more parents, families and professionals in the Toronto area.
