Encourage your children to eat fruit by designing their own fruit kabob. Choose fruits with different colours and cut them up into different shapes for some additional fun and learning.
Here is what you need:
Thin bamboo skewers
Watermelon sliced in the shape of triangles
Bananas cut up as circles
Cantaloupe cut up in squares
Kiwis cut up as circles
Apples sliced in semi-circles
Place the fruit out on a platter, encourage your children to pick one from each group and simply push it onto the skewer. Talk about the taste, colour and shape of the fruits as they eat.
