Where does my donation go?
You may designate your donation towards a particular project, program or event. You may also make an undesignated gift which gives Invest in Kids some latitude in how we applies those funds. Either way, Invest in Kids makes judicious use of the generous donations we receive. Click here to view our annual report.
Is there a suggested minimum/maximum donation or requirement?
While there is no limit to the amount of your donation, in order to receive a tax receipt, the suggested minimum is $10.00.
If I don’t want to donate online, can I mail a cheque?
Yes. Please make your cheque payable to Invest in Kids and mail it to 64B Merton Street, Toronto, ON M4S 1A1. If you would like to designate your donation, please indicate this in an attached note or on the memo line of your cheque.
Instead of a cash donation can I make a product donation to support an event?
Yes. Product donations or Gifts-in-Kind are gratefully accepted and the donor will receive a charitable tax receipt for the full value of their donation. Donations of Gifts-in-Kind go a long way to helping support both the overall and event needs of the organization.
How will my donation be acknowledged?
Your donation will be acknowledged with a thank you letter and a tax receipt (provided that the donation is $10 dollars or more). In addition, depending on the level of your gift, you will also receive recognition in our annual report, on our website and through other appropriate communications materials.
Can I make a donation in honour of a child I know?
You may make a donation in honour of anyone you know. You will receive an acknowledgment letter and a tax receipt. A tribute card will also be sent to the person or family of the person being honoured. You may select a standard tribute that best suits your donation or provide your own wording. What happens if I fail to receive a tax receipt or I misplace it?
Invest in Kids can issue a duplicate receipt within 12 months of the contribution in question.
